Best mp3 tag editor for linux mint7/26/2023 Machine: System: Micro-Star product: MSI Notebook VR601 v: Ver 1.000īios: American Megatrends v: A163CIMS V1.51 date: ĬPU: Dual core Intel Core2 Duo T5250 (-MCP-) cache: 2048 KBįlags: (lm nx pae sse sse2 sse3 ssse3) bmips: 5985Ĭlock speeds: max: 1500 MHz 1: 1500 MHz 2: 1000 MHz Perhaps a request for this feature to a favourite Mint player is the best option, and sticking with MusicBee on a Windows partition for now. ![]() Downloaded mp3s cannot be linked back to a podcast address feed, eg adding the mp3s back to associated podcast folders may be overwritten. This all may not seem a huge issue if players still list the descriptive details offline, but I swap between devices to listen to podcasts, and upon a fresh install of mint, this data is lost. I would rather not use a tag editor to manually add a description for every mp3. Certain tags being added, seems to be specific to how good a podcast player is at reading the data from a feed address.Īs descriptions may show up in a podcast player, tag info must be kept separate in another file on the system. Downloading an mp3 straight from a browser doesn't help. I found a useful site that lists podcast feed addresses If you add a random podcast address from your result into Firefox, the browser will list what mp3s have a description. As well as checking downloaded mp3s in a tag editor (puddletag), I also tried the same mp3s in windows ID3-Editor and MusicBee, to see if any tags were just not showing up in linux, but that was not the case. ![]() I have tried the latest 'quodlibet' from ppa:lazka/ppa, but it does not add a description into files.
